connexx was commissioned to equip the castle with an all-new smart lighting system with tunable white.
Castello del Buonconsiglio is probably the most important building in Trentino and houses the Museo Provinciale d'Arte and the Museo Storico. connexx was commissioned to equip the castle with an all-new smart lighting system.
One of the requirements of this project was to illuminate the castle walls with different color temperatures, using light not only in a functional way, but also as a design element. At the same time, all technical components were to remain unseen, so as not to disturb the esthetics of the historic building. One of the challenges was the castle’s thick walls, in addition to the illumination of remote areas on the property.
Smart control capability was provided via nodexx, integrated and external. Here, the number of nodes had to be as small as possible—one node can controls up to 32 luminaires. To bypass the thick castle walls, radio communication bridges were also used and connexx provided support for the installation of the nodes. The Castello del Buonconsiglio now shines with dynamic smart connexx lighting.
